Prof. Lam Tsoi is an accomplished scholar and researcher with extensive expertise in dermatology, computational medicine, biostatistics, and bioinformatics. He earned his BS from the College of Charleston, followed by an MS and PhD in biomedical sciences from the Medical University of South Carolina, completing postdoctoral training in biostatistics at the University of Michigan. Currently serving as Associate Professor in the Departments of Dermatology and Computational Medicine and Bioinformatics, and Research Associate Professor in Biostatistics and the Mary H. Weiser Food Allergy Center at the University of Michigan, he holds key leadership roles including Associate Director of the Functional Analytics Core at the University of Michigan Skin Biology and Diseases Resource-based Center. His primary research focuses on psoriasis and complex skin inflammatory disorders, genetics and genomics, systems biology, long non-coding RNAs, and health records analysis. Prof. Tsoi has authored 199 publications with 7,608 citations and an h-index of 52, demonstrating significant scholarly impact. His outstanding contributions have been recognized with prestigious awards such as the Microsoft Azure Research Award, Dermatology Foundation Career Development Award, and Arthritis National Research Foundation Scholar Award.
