Prof. Demetri Bouris is a highly accomplished researcher whose work spans environmental flows, wind engineering, particle dispersion, thermal environmental engineering, urban flows, and computational fluid dynamics, with a strong focus on both numerical and experimental methodologies. His research portfolio includes over 44 international journal publications, 62 conference papers, and multiple book chapters, collectively cited more than 1100 times and supported by an h-index of 18, reflecting sustained impact in fluid mechanics and environmental engineering. He has contributed influential studies on vortex shedding, heat exchanger optimization, atmospheric flow simulation, particle deposition, and conjugate heat transfer in porous media, with several papers exceeding 50 citations. Prof. Bouris has played a leading role in 50 research projects, serving as scientific responsible for 29 of them, and has provided extensive consulting for public and private sectors in areas such as environmental flows, turbulent processes, thermal systems, and two-phase flow simulations. His advanced laboratory leadership includes the design and operation of wind tunnel systems, thermal hydronic circuits, flow visualization facilities, and in-house computational tools. He has supervised numerous PhD, postgraduate, and undergraduate researchers, contributing significantly to capacity building and academic development. His editorial contributions include service on the advisory panel and as guest editor for international journals, membership on editorial boards, and peer review for more than 27 scientific journals.
