Assist. Prof. Dr. Liang Zhao is a dedicated researcher and academic specializing in Building Information Modeling (BIM), building carbon emissions, deep learning, and generative design, with a strong focus on sustainable architecture and digital construction technologies. He earned his PhD in Architecture from Southeast University (2019–2023) and holds a Master’s degree in Heating, Gas Supply, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Engineering from Hebei University of Engineering (2012–2015). He has professional experience in BIM development at the China Architecture Design & Research Institute, where he contributed to the CBIM integrated solution, and currently serves as a faculty member at the School of Energy and Environmental Engineering, Hebei University of Engineering. Dr. Zhao has led and participated in multiple national and institutional research projects, producing significant innovations in architectural heritage conservation, prefabricated building standardization, and zero-carbon building design. His academic achievements include 14 research publications, 240 citations, and an H-index of 10, with papers published in Q1 and Q2 journals such as Energy Reports, Buildings, and Alexandria Engineering Journal. In addition, he has secured multiple invention and utility patents as well as software copyrights, reflecting both theoretical and applied research contributions. His inventions range from innovative structural solutions to advanced BIM-based management systems, highlighting his ability to integrate digital technologies with sustainable construction practices. Dr. Zhao’s proactive and collaborative research style, coupled with his growing recognition in sustainable architecture and environmental engineering, positions him as a promising researcher with significant potential to advance carbon-neutral construction and intelligent design methodologies at both national and international levels.
